A two-month voyage around the Australian Coast is being halted in the wake of the tragic passing of an senior woman who was left behind by the vessel on a remote tropical isle.

The elderly woman had been hiking on Lizard Island with other travelers from the cruise ship, but broke off from the group for a pause. The vessel sailed away leaving her and returned several hours later after the ship staff discovered the lady was unaccounted for.
